psychological hardship evaluations

Emerald Mental Health is offering psychological evaluations for immigration cases, including citizen-based hardship waivers and U-Visas. We are proud to partner with Leslie Lares, who brings compassionate, culturally attuned care to those seeking safety, stability, and a better future.

Leslie is especially passionate about helping clients through the immigration process with care, clarity, and emotional support. As a bilingual (English/Spanish) clinician of Mexican heritage, she understands the cultural and personal weight these evaluations carry — and strives to prepare each one thoughtfully, with advocacy at the core. With years of experience and a deep commitment to immigrant communities, Leslie approaches each case with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and care. She offers a supportive and compassionate interview process that helps ease worry and encourages clients to share their experiences in a safe, comfortable environment.

While the evaluation typically takes place in one appointment, Leslie works hard to ensure each individual feels heard, respected, and supported throughout. Her goal is to create an evaluation that is thoughtfully prepared and advocates for each client on a personal level.
